When CJ Abraham launched Precision Product Development (PPD) in 2017, he started with a single Haas VF-2SS and a vision to build a world-class manufacturing business. What began as a small prototype machine shop has evolved into a growing contract manufacturer serving customers in the interconnect industry, with expansion into aerospace and satellite markets.
As production volumes increased, CJ faced a challenge familiar to many machine shop owners: how to keep machines running without being tied to them all day.
Rather than adding labor, CJ chose automation. By implementing the Trinity AI Automated Machine Tending System, built on Intrinsic Intelligence, PPD transformed an existing VMC into an autonomous production cell—allowing production to continue while CJ focused on growing the business.
No robot programming. No complex integration. Just intelligent machine tending that works.

When evaluating automation solutions, CJ took a practical approach.
"I let the part lead the way."
He explored several options, including spindle grippers, traditional robotic systems, and additional labor. But many of those solutions introduced complexity, programming requirements, and integration challenges.
When Trinity introduced the AI-1 machine tending system, CJ saw an opportunity to automate without overcomplicating his workflow.
"What I found out was that none of that is necessary."
Unlike traditional robotic systems, the Trinity AI integrates with Intrinsic Intelligence, eliminating the need for robot programming and dramatically simplifying deployment.
